Privacy and Security

Your safety and security while using our site are important to us. We work to earn your trust and your business, and strive to minimize the possibility of your privacy or security being compromised. To that end,

1) We do not sell or share information you give us with third parties, except when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of roc-games.com, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. All work done to process your order is done directly by the employees of Roc Games.

2) We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.

3) We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. At present, you may pay with your PayPal account, or with your credit card without an account--either way, your information is protected during the payment process; see PayPal for their privacy policies.

About cookies: We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many Web sites, we use "cookies," and we obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses roc-games.com. This information is not released to third parties; we use it to deliver a safer and more customized experience to you. We also maintain information such as

1) Login name and password, email address(es, if you have more than one account with us). No employee of Roc Games will ever ask for this information from you, nor information about your credit card number. If you are contacted by someone claiming to work for Roc Games and they ask for any private financial or account-related information, do not give it to them.

2) Information about your browsing and searches performed on our website. We use such information to help manage our inventory and deliver better value to our customers.

There are things you can do to decrease your exposure on the internet as well--on our site and elsewhere.

1) Never post sensitive information--passwords, usernames, personal address, etc.--in public places. Think carefully before deciding to post information such as photos of yourself or those you know, other peoples' contact information, or similar items that can identify you.

2) Roc Games offers many ways for you to connect with our growing community; you may leave product reviews, comment on blog posts, follow and tweet with us on Twitter or write on our wall on Facebook, vote in polls, post on our community forums, and develop a profile about you at our store or other parts of the site. Such activities are generally safe, if you take appropriate measures to protect yourself and do not reveal sensitive information, and participation in any portion of the site is of course entirely up to you.

3) Do not leave yourself logged in to our (or any other) website on a shared computer. Do not give out your password to anyone.

Payment and Placing an Order

Shop through our store and place items you want to buy in your cart. When you are done shopping, view your cart. Add any coupon codes you may have, check for shipping costs to your location, and when you are ready, click "Proceed to Checkout." Either register, log in with your account if you already have one, or choose to continue checkout as guest. Enter your billing and shipping address(es), choose a shipping method, choose a payment method, and finally pay for your order. Currently, we take payments through PayPal; you may pay with your credit card if you do not have an account. We will send you an invoice when your payment is confirmed and when your items are shipped.

Pricing and Promotions

At Roc Games, we believe in delivering you low prices on quality games and equipment, every single day. We also believe that when we get especially good deals on items, we should pass the extra savings along to you. While our regular prices are usually lower than retail, our special prices are even better! We have several types of special sale prices:

Deal of the Week: Each week we offer one very special deal. Usually these promotions are special bundles with special prices or special types of deals--we may offer a coupon with your purchase, a digital gift card, special discounts on some items with the purchase of others, or other great bargains. Check back each week! We do not offer rain checks. Quantities limited; no substitutions.

Weekly Ad items: Each week we put different items on extra sale. Get these great deals on the week you see the sale; once that week is over, it will go back to regular price. We do not offer rain checks. Quantities limited; no substitutions. Items on sale may not go on sale again soon, or at all.

Price Cut: When we're able to start getting items at a lower price, we cut the price to you to match. Also, we sometimes use Price Cuts to sell through items we have too many of. We buy lots, and sometimes get more of an item than we need to get the items we really want. Price cuts of this kind are usually temporary; we will mark the period of the discount for you on the item page.

Clearance: When hardware or accessories are replaced by a new and improved model, we try to clear out the older merchandise through clearance prices. Our clearance is either marked down 25% or 50%, depending on the item and how long we've had it.

Shipping and Delivery

We ship only to the continental United States at this time. We do not offer expedited shipping at this time; it takes 1-3 business days for your order to be completed and shipped. Delivery times vary by shipping method and carrier.

Viewing Orders

When an order is placed, you may view it in your Account page. We will notify you when we ship the item and include tracking information. You may not cancel an order after it has been shipped.

Returns and Replacements

Due to the nature of video games and their content, we cannot perform refunds at this time. All of our Xbox 360 products, games and otherwise, do come with a 30 day guarantee; if you are unsatisfied for any reason, you may request a replacement, exchange, or credit. We will replace your item with another copy or, if we do not have that item in stock, exchange another item of your choice at the same price.

In order to receive your replacement, exchange, or credit, you must return the original purchased item to us. You must pay for shipping the returned item to us; we will pay the full price of shipping the replacement or exchanged item to you.

If an item has been damaged during transit, we will help you recover the loss from the carrier.

Before placing any order, make sure your account information is up to date. Click on "My Account" at the top right of the page to update your information.
